ABOUT OUR SLIMES

ARE THE SLIMES EDIBLE?

Nope! Our slimes are made for play only. Slimes should never be eaten. None of the charms, glitters, or extras are edible and may pose a choking hazard.

If any part of the slime is accidentally consumed, please contact your local poison control center immediately. We are not responsible for any unsupervised use or consumption of our products.

WHAT AGE IS BEST FOR SLIME?

Our slimes are recommended for ages 8 and up and are designed to provide hours of creative, sensory fun!

WHAT IS IN OUR SLIMES?

Main ingredients: Polyvinyl Acetate (PVA) Borax.

May also include: Cosmetic-grade colorants, fragrance oils (may contain peanuts), mineral oil, glycerin, non-toxic craft materials, non-toxic absorbent polymers.

Please note: Our slimes are not recommended for individuals with eczema or sensitive skin, or those with known allergies to any of the above ingredients.

HOW LONG WILL MY SLIME LAST?

With proper care, slimes can last for several months! It’s totally normal for slime to soften or shrink over time due to its ingredients. To extend your slime’s life:

(1) Wash hands before use

(2) Play on clean surfaces

(3) Store slime in an airtight container in a cool spot

(4) Use slime activator regularly to maintain texture

If your slime has shrunk to half its size or is no longer enjoyable to play with, it might be time to treat yourself to a fresh one!

BUYING SLIME AS A GIFT?

We recommend purchasing your slime no more than 2 weeks before your gifting date to ensure it arrives in the best possible condition. Slimes may naturally change in texture over time, especially if stored for long periods, so ordering closer to your event helps keep it fresh and gift-ready!

SLIME CARE

HOW DO I MAKE ACTIVATOR?

Every order comes with 1 tablespoon of borax powder.

1. MEASURE 1 cup of warm water

2. ADD borax powder into warm water

3. MIX until powder FULLY dissolves in the water

DO NOT ADD BORAX POWDER DIRECTLY INTO SLIME!

MY SLIME IS STICKY

Add SMALL amounts of the activator solution (see above on instructions) to your slime until desired texture.

MY SLIME IS HARD/STIFF

WHITE GLUE BASED SLIMES: Add small amounts of lotion and mix until desire texture. If that doesn't work, massage your slime in hot water. 

CLEAR SLIMES: Place container in hot water for 15-20 minutes or place container in warm area that sunlight hits for 2-3 days.

MY SLIME IS DEFLATED

Since slime is made from glue and water, slime will deflate as it is natural process and unavoidable. Repeated exposure to air and skin will make slime deflate faster.

RETURNS/CANCELLATIONS

CAN I CANCEL MY ORDER?

Yes, cancellations must be made within 1 hour of purchase. Please email us at hippocampeslimes@gmail.com

CAN I RETURN MY SLIME?

Buyers are responsible for return postage costs. If the item is not returned in its original and unopened condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss.

I AM UNHAPPY WITH MY ORDER

Please email hippocampeslimes@gmail.com with a picture or video of the slime no later than 3 days from when the package was marked delivered. After the 3 days, we can no longer assist. 

SHIPPING/HANDLING

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY ORDER?

Besides your ordered slimes with their associated add-ins, all orders will recieve care card and borax activator powder.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL MY PACKAGE IS DELIVERED?

We guarantee to ship orders within 2-3 days of purchase. However, depending on holidays, events, shortages of materials, closings, and other circumstances this estimate duration may change and delivery time may not be guaranteed. You should expect to see your package within a delivery estimate time, which can be found by processing time + estimated transit time for the shipping method you have chosen. Once your package has been shipped, you will receive a USPS tracking number that provide updated delivery details.

I PUT THE WRONG ADDRESS ON MY ORDER

Please us at hippocampeslimes@gmail.com IMMEDIATELY. If your order has not shipped, we will change the address. However, we are not responsible for order with incorrect address or incomplete address. So please make sure you provide us with correct address before you purchase.

MY PACKAGE WAS LOST/STOLEN

Since your package was already shipped out and USPS officially claimed delivery, we unfortunately no longer have control over the process. As such, please contact your local USPS at 800-522-9085 to help locate your package, supplying the tracking number associated with your order. If after a week, your package is still haven't arrived, you can file a missing mail request on the USPS website and they will help locate the package for you.
